Line- up at the park for the ferry to the Statue of Liberty was extremely loooong. The morning looked omniously cloudy when we left the hostel so naturally we bought jacket along. However, as soon as we arrived the park ready for the 1 1/2 hour- line- up, the sun decided to come out and radiated its heat passionately over us (poor kid looked toasted~)
Along the que, there were many street performers dressed up as the Statue of Liberty and one even brought along a Stature of Bear, carrying the miniature version of liberty flame proud and high too. So very cute~
After we finally passed the security check, which by the way is the reason why the long wait, and boarded the ferry, we were completely exhausted. But as we saw the Lady of liberty getting larger and larger in front of our eyes, I can relate to the immigrants must feel before. With emotional tears welled up in my eyes, I came to realize how very precious freedom really is. It was a pitty though we can no longer go to the top of the flame to overlook New York City after 911.
After the visit to the liberty island, we went to check out the financial center of America. The top picture was a symbol left over after 911 from the world trade center. Walking toward wall street, we saw the Trinity church on one side, offering some serenity from the everyday hustle and bustle.
The night was scheduled with visiting the empire state building, which in retrospect was a BAD idea. Because like statue of the liberty, this is ALSO a hot tourist spot with a loooooooooooong line up. After half of a day of queing, we can't appreciate the fact the late night que was much shorter than usual. After 1 1/2 hour lining up to get our tickets checked, get on to the first elevator, getting on to the second elevator, we finally reached the top of the Empire state building. (The first left pannel was the inside of the elevator of which we finally rode on after 1 1/2 hour of que...)
Trying to experience what Kingkong or the Sleepless in the Seatle saw in the movie, we stood in the cold, strong wind overlooking the twinkling New York City. Perhaps Emma was right, that everybody went to the top of the Empire state building thinks the view is not entirely worth the long haul. However, one still needs to go through the process to come to term with that conclusion, does not it?

自由女神和帝國大廈果真是超hot的spot
如果妳們沒事先買票 可能還得排上兩倍的line呢~
不過 我真的覺得帝國大廈很誇張
小小的頂樓 擠進那麼多人~.~
by the way, 十分好奇~ 妳們最後對華爾街的感想:P:P
感想就那條街超短的
一點也不特別
本來很期望可以進去NY STOCK EXCHANGE
