前言:
Because my camera was stolen the next day (to be explained later ), we don't have any pictures to be shown for this day. Luckily (?), I forgot to include these beautiful pictures taken at Brooklyn after we crossed the Brooklyn bridge (also see the picture below).

Too exhausted from the long line-ups from the day before, we decided to take today easy. In the morning, I suggested going to SoHo to check out some flagship stores of some brand names, like Prada and Addidas. My friend had told me the Prada store in Soho has a very special kind of mirrors that allow you to see your rear with ease The legendary Addidas store that has the most collection was recommended as well. Unfortunately, we did not see the expected spectacles in neither stores.
The lunch was interesting however. We walked a good 15 blocks nearly missed the guide book-recommended restuarant. It was so small that one had to walk pass part of the kitchen to use the washroom. Kid had the special fried rice dish while I had the corn flour pancake filled with some sorta beans.
Afternoon, while Kid went back to the hostel to nap, I went on to explore the second museum, MoMA. On the Friday afternoons, the Museum of Modern Art is open to the public for free. Although this is great for one's wallet, the sheer volume of people made it hard to appreciate the art quietly without constantly bumped to people. So after visiting just a couple of the more famous paintings, I headed to gift shop. To my surprise, the gift shop is full of great modern innovation that's as practical as creative, such as the Alessi's trivet. It is very cleverly designed with an expandable "school of fish" shaped metal trivet that can accommodate any size of pots or plate to protect the table from heat and scratches.
After MoMA, Kid and I met up to head to the famous Jazz club in New York, Blue Note Jazz Club New York for our very first Live Jazz performance. Taj Mahal was the performer of the night. Although the food was pricy, and my mouth was almost burned by my super spicy dinner because we were eating IN THE DARK, the music was excellent and very lively indeed. But it was different than my expectation of Jazz, being played by trumpets and saxophones. They played guitar instead. Nonthesless, it was a great experience. The relative relaxing day was ended in the lively blue notes.
