Last Friday was the last day of Vancouver international film festival. A coworker gave me two free tickets for any movie at the festival. Because of time factor, we chose the very last movie, Citizen Dog. It’s a movie made in Thailand.

例如 一個摩托車taxi driver who never wears 安全帽

The main theme of the movie is this:

If you keep on looking for something, you will never find it. However, if you stop the search, whatever you are looking for will come find you.

"The main character, Pod is a migrant worker from up-country. Before his grandma died she told him that he would grow a tail the next morning if he ever went to work in Bangkok."

This is a very interesting folk tale. The way I interpretate this belief is that when one starts going to big city pursuing ones dream, one actually losts it during the process along with ones passion and ones ability to love. They become like dogs which keep on chasing their own tails without realizing how silly that really is.

Finally, quoting from: www.fivestarent.com

"This is a surreal and comical love story about Bangkok’s little people: their struggle in search of happiness amidst a rapidly changing world. A world over-flowing with dreams, but void of love and understanding."
