Although Michael Buble did not win the grammy, his voice and music are at least recognized by the mere nomination. Because Cheryl's message, I actually went to buy the whole album "It's time." And I must say she is right! Every song is very soothing. Besides the song "Home" that I love so much, some of other songs remind me of those 70's Jazz scenes in Movies. The duet with Nelly Furtado "Quando, Quando, Quando (tell me when)" is voice matched in Heavan. Also worth a listen.
FW: from my old blog entry
This song"home" has topped the chart for a while now. I did not know this singer before but I am deeply touched by this song. My heart resonates with the music by the strong calling from home. I want to go back to home where it is warm and busy...

Another summer day

<-- This is how it all started. Kid and I talked about travelling together to Europe and Boom. Our dream came true with two addition of her two wonderful friends in London, 2002
(picture from 豆子)
It's almost 1year since our travel to Spain, almost 2 years since Sunpeak Snowboarding trip in Canada and 3years since we went to London together. Time sure flys by like nobody's business(British Expression) Part of my (and Kid's) new year resolution is to keep up this GREAT tradition.
Sunpeak ski resort with Kid, Head, Tom and me. The year followed 2002, Kid and Head actually agreed to come visit me. I still can't believe they would actually come and have fun with in the cold winter in BC Canada 2003. (感動中~) -->

(Appitizer: Rucola e Carciofi braised Italian artichoke hearts stuffed with mozzarella, served with cherry tomatoes, local arugula and tossed with a herb succo) Every year right after welcoming New Year, Vancouverites and tourists have one exciting event to look forward to despite the characteristic gloomy and wet weather:
Vancouver Dine-Out. This event features 3-courses meals catered by various popular gourmet restaruants at a heavenly discount rate. This event originated to attract tourists because during Jan-Feb, the tourism in Vancouver becomes least busy.
We have heard all the raves about this event for many years now but we never had a chance to go try it ourselves. 稟持著如果招待大家來玩的話 我要介紹一些美食的精神 我ㄋ當然不讓的勇往直前去試探 (其實自己也很想吃啦 )
(Entree1: Salmone d'Orato Grilled wild BC salmon with lobster chanterelle reduction and crispy leeks) We chose a famed Italian restaurant named: Quattro on Fourth. Photos are the dishes Tom and I had. Man, all of them are SO~ delicious. Even their breads were so goo.Even though at the end I was so full it felt like my stomach would explode any second, I still helped myself to more desert and bread.
(Fettuccine Tartufate Fettuccine with wild mushrooms, fresh sage, shaved Parmigiano Reggiano, and white truffle essence in a light cream)
The food was not only eye-openers but also the taste was exquisitely fresh, delicious and creative. For example, both cheess and artichokes are not usually my first choice. But I experimented the combination for this special event. And thank god, I did! It was unexpectly good. The salmon in the entree one was grilled perfectly that it was not too rare nor too dry. The vegetarian pasta had a great herbal sauce to go with it while the pasta itself has the well balanced texture in that it was not too thick nor too soft.
The desserts were yet another heavenly dish. Besides the well-known Tiramisu, the pastry besides it striked a harmony between the sweeten candy like texture with plain mascapone and sour cheers. For someone with not-so-sweet-tooth, like me, it was the perfect match!
(Tiramisu interspersed layers of mascarpone cheese, ladyfingers and kahlua-laced espresso) -- or -- (Ciliegie Filate phyllo pastry layered with whipped mascarpone cheese, cream and sour cherries)
Overall, this was the most satisfying meal recently. Is anyone of you interested in visiting Vancouver during this time then?
有人心動沒 ? 快來吧 ~ ^_^

knotted together,

Only you can pull me to the surface,
holding the other end."

I have just read about this in Taiwan's newspaper recently about the usage of "orz" in the university entrance test. Like "lol", I don't understand what it means. So I look it up online for a explaination. It turns out to be very funny. I have adopted this article from the website " 能量魔法" for a laugh. ^_^

I still remember when we were in the badminton team in grade 11 in high school, representing our class to compete in our year. Lots of people thought it was too much hard work outside of studying time and did not want to do it. But we were happy to jump head-in on the oppurtunity at the first minute we heard about it.
It was the pure love for the sport and team spirit that motivated us. There were times, we had to give up lunch and nap time . Hack , I still remember vividly when we had to practice with our captain early in the morning. While one of us sneaking at the side of the court trying to stuff a mounthful of egg rolls before she caught us eating breakfast at 7am. Outsiders thought it was lot of hard work. Personally, I quite enjoyed practicing badminton lots. Not only because of the perks not to participate some boring duties (eg.班會,)also the fact we got to choose what we really loved to do outside of textbooks. I think that was the only time I played the best in my life. The practice and bonding experience , I guess in a way ,was like Brokeback Mountain. It was an awesome, unique and unforgetable experience that formed the foundation of our friendship.
I still love playing badminton. However, I don't have enough time now to fully devote to the sport like before. The purity of enthusiasm is diluted with "grown-up" duties that I can no longer evade. The partners change on the court. However, the best partner will always live in my memory Hopefully, we can play once more next time.
