自從老媽在去年底的 garage sale　買到　scrable 後
繼sudoku 全家就又瘋狂的迷上這個益智遊戲

吃完晚飯 我們就圍在tv 前 開始鬥智
The goal of the game is to collect as much points by making words on the board with the 7 given letters. Each letter is assigned with points. Some with more, the other with less. By assembling a word on the board, one will end up with certain points. The other players can only continue making words utilizing the letter(s) from the existing words. Certain areas on the board can double or triple the points of the letter(s) or even the whole word.

從以前讀國中的時候 我的頭髮就連老師都有意見
有一次歷史老師在教室外 很語重心長的跟我說:
"sherry 雖然顧好成績是優先的 但是你的頭髮要梳也很重要"
大人 冤枉ㄛ 人家每天都麽有梳頭 那個是基本禮儀 我小學就知道了
但是我的頭髮愛亂七八糟的翹 我也是很無奈的好不好

Brokeback　mountain 連奪多像金球獎:最佳影片 最佳導演 最佳劇本 最佳主題曲 實至名歸
可惜我最喜歡的男主角: Heath　Ledger, despite of " his devastating performance as a despairing man done in by time and circumstance" 最後沒有得獎

恐龍是他的措號 好像是當初認識他的時候取的 因為他為人很有古人的做風 （就是絕種的固執老好人那一種）
我們是1997唸college的同學　那時跟另外一個女生我們是ｐｈｙｓｉｃ lab的三劍客　常常一起敢報告一起在考試前唸書　偶爾也會一起打打球（不是我啦）
但是自從　我轉學後我們已經有7年失去聯络　
所以當我在ｘmas 接到他電話時　還蠻ｓｕｒｐｒｉｓｅ的

Every year I will make a list of new year resolutions, but truth to be told, not only I can't remember what half of them are toward summer, I usually can not stick to them
This year, by writing on the blog, hopefully the pressure from the public (you guys ) perhaps can force me to stick to it. Anyway, here it goes:
1. To eat more balance meals to have more energy throughout the day
2. To exercise more regularly to lower the risk of heart attack (especially ever since I saw some real fatty hearts during the fat camp...)

Just moved to this new host for my future blog entries. I will slowly move my old diaries from the other site to here. I am still a beginner at using many of the functions offered by this blog host. It will take some time for this to fully functioning. I would really appreciate for any of the feedback you may have.
We may not hang as much as before but let us keep in touch in cyber space *_^

Brokeback moutain is easily the best movie I have seen this year. (sorry Harry potter, you will be the second best in my heart now...)
I don't want to spoil the fun for anyone who wants to see the movie later. So I will just briefly mention the story without going into great detail. It's about two cowboys attending sheeps during one summer as their job. Up on the Brokeback mountain, two strangers opened themselves up to each other and however unwilling to admit it, they fell in love to each other. At the end of the summer, they had no choice but to go their separate way to their own lives. It's not until some years later, they found each other again and realized what they had that one summer was amazing bond. Back then homosexuality was even less accepted, so they had to suppress their feelings toward each other and can only met once in a while.
Even so many days after I saw the movie, their ever so touching feeling toward each other still resonates within me. My heart still aches when I try to imagine how painful it must be for anyone (gay or not) not being able to be around someone you love. The beautiful scenes were actually shot in Calgary , here in Canada. The magnificent mountains and sky only make one's problem feel so small yet so lonesome that one seeks for comanionship and understaning.
This movie is so great. Ann Lee did a great job directing it.(oh and did I mention both of them are very cute too?) I highly recommend watching it. The subtitle is well phrased:

At the end of 2005, we decided to go to Mt baker for a snowboarding trip. One is because the local moutains in vancouver has almost no snow because of the non-stop raining for the past two weeks. The other is because Mt. baker is quite close to the Canadian boarder and it is famous for its deep snow powder for skiiers. So this xmas holiday, we finally went somewhere for a little holiday ^_^ (of course going to Disney land in Florida is much better
We first passed the US/Canadian boarder, the Peach Arch Boarder.
Where the arch stands is exact the line between two countries. The line at that day was amazing lone. We were in line for a good 1and half hour.
Because we decided to make this a mini trip, we booked a hotel to stay overnight so we did not have to rush to the mountain the next morning. Thomas found this great Best Western that has an English heritage touch to it. Even though the price was a steal, the quality is excellent. The cozy dinning room where we had our breakfast indeed felt like a home in London. If I don't tell you, you would don't know this is actually the hotel!

Been trying to buy Xmas presents the past couple days. My god! There are people swarming everywhere! No wonder people say the Xmas holiday is a stressful time. First, cars are jamed up on the road just to get into the parking lot of the mall. Then if one is lucky to find a parking spot within 15 minutes before the circling around to look for one spot drives one insane and causes accident.
Getting up to the ground level proves to be also diffcult. It’s not hard to believe to see that long queues in front of cash registers in EVERY single stores. But it is not expected to even have to line up just to get on to escalator to go up or down one level. When I took off from work to just avoid the crowd yesterday, it proved that everybody has the exact same idea for last minute presents shopping that mall was still crowded like canned sardin. Besides all these, I can not find ideal presents because they are either overpriced when they are just made in China or they are no longer available. After walking around for 2 hours, I was frusted as hell that I could scream.

Metrotown had just undergone renovation that they have a beautiful resting area in the center bridging two complexes. There are lots of comfy sofa and water fountain streaming in the center, of which the trickling sound soothes one (from what we learned in Spain). The Xmas decoration you saw in the picture was taken from this central resting area. It is quite a blessing to have such area. The interesting sight is most of the people sitting down with lots of shopping bags are men (including Thomas ^^ can you spot him in the photo?). Anyway, the mall has unusually extended the hours until 11pm instead of 9pm to accomodate shoppers. I guess I will try back again. Hopefully, I will have better luck this time...

來到國外 除了朋友以外 最懷念的就是台灣的美食了 其中尤其是湯麵 老外吃的麵類只局限於 Pasta. 但是我特愛喝湯麵的美味湯汁 尤其在冷呼呼的Vancouver 來碗熱騰騰的道地台灣牛肉麵 真的是一種天上人間難得的享受
 記得是在大三的時候剛轉學時 認識一個也是台灣人的同學 她介紹我這家在小說出租店旁的小吃店 那時吃到這麼正宗的家鄉味 真的感動到痛哭流涕的不行 那時還住在搖遙遠的Coquitlam. This store in Burnay is like the other side of the world to me. 偶爾能提前下課 坐one hour的車來吃到一次 真的可以幸福一星期哩 雖然現在牛肉都給tom吃了 但是我還是超愛喝他們的湯的 囌~ 現在老闆都知道我會點什麼了 ^_^ 如果有人想試看看vancouver的台灣牛肉麵 下一次你們來玩時 可以帶你們去ㄛ

ps BTW 那個牛肉應該有更多 但是都在tom 的碗裡了

雖然現在因為人越來越多，常常要稍等一下，但是料好味美的美食絕對是值得的。現在他們又開發出許多新的料理跟別家喝不到的特調飲品，有些食物甚至是季節性的很道地呢，例如夏天的涼麵跟冬天熱呼呼的芋圓，不容錯過呢。
一心麵典就在4611 Kingsway上，Metrotown的對面。
