最近整理照片 看到這一張照片 It reminds me of some good times we had together since we were in high school also when we were on several trips.
It was taken last year when I went back to Taiwan for the presedential election. Days after casting the vote, Jill and his brother invited me to go to their company field trip to the eastern of Taiwan. It was a great fun. This picture was taken by Jill’s brother before we were preparing to pose for the camera. We were so relaxed there on top of 太平山 in the mystic cloud. Jill’s brother took this shot without we actually noticed it. It was quite a natural and magical moment, is not it? ^__^
(旅行的意義= great photo moments ? Haha)

I am so jealous of my parent.
They are so lucky that they have almost been to all of Canada in the past couple of years. They have been to 8 out of 10 provinces and 1 out of 3 territories in Canada. Not many native Canadians can say the same.
My parents have very specific goals about each trip and they plan systematically to see most of Canada before she goes on to explore the rest of the world since they reside here for now. About 2 or 3 years ago, they went to Yukon territory (close to Alaska) to see Northen light. It was freezing cold and they stayed at this cabinet where in the middle of the night, if you want to use the washroom, you have to go outside walk on the snow to a outhouse to pee. Very adventurous. Then with my grandpa visiting, they saw most of Ontario and Quebec out east. Last year, during my mom’s school year break, she and my dad went to Prince Edward Island (which is also a province) to see the house of Anne of Green gable (清秀佳人) and the rest of the maritimes provinces. My mom had the most unforgetable taste of fresh and cheap lobsters for many meals that she wants to go back just for that.
This summer they planned a trip to Alberta province in an effort to see Loons, which is the bird that’s carved into every of our two dollar coins. And now, they just got back from Toronto from a visit to Algonquin park. The park is famous for it’s grand amount of maple trees . So as you can imagine, when the fall comes, the turning colors of leaves full of the mountains reflecing under the sunshine and onto the water make quite a magnifient scene as you can see on the photos. Guess that’s why on the Canadian flags, there is a maple leaf proudly representing the nation.

I have finally found of excellent standard, and authentically Italian coffee in Vancouver, Cafe Artigiano.
Ever since Kid and I came back from our tour to Italy in 2002, I fell in love with European style of coffee. This love further evolves into passion for seeking European coffee after I tried Spainish coffee. Because American Latte emphasizes in more milk than European in espresso, I was not used to the strong coffee taste when we first tried Latte Macchiato (=cafe latte in Starbucks) in Millano, Italy. However, as days went by, a cup a day, I grew accostumed to appreciate the aroma of pure coffee beans due to less flavor masking from milk. I have not drank coffee from Starbucks ever since.
After this year’s trip to Spain, I have started to appreciate the fact that European coffee’s smaller proportion of milk has reduced the overall size of the beverage which makes drinking coffee less like having a meal but complimentary to one.
From a friend’s recommendation, I finally discoverd a great cafe and drank an authentic Italian coffee today. This Cafe Artigiano in Downtwon Robson, not only has great coffee beans with dreamy aroma, they also make coffee art while they add milk to espresso. Everyone can sip their own uniquely designed latte.
Next time, my friends, when you come to visit, we will definetely make this one of the destination to go.

Re:
Did I tell you how much I love Diana Krall and Norah Jones? They are both my favorite modern Jazz singers and both proud Canadians ^_^.
Diana Krall’s every song in album, "the look of love", are all great. It is really hard to pick which ones to recommend. They are perfect for a quiet alone time with a steaming cup of coffee in a night time looking out to a night sky. Or during day time for a hectic day, the music calms a person down.
Norah Jones’s first album, " come away with me" is my favorite too. For me, unlike Diana Krall’s voice which is more peaceful and a bit sad sometimes, Norah Jones’s songs are cheerful and cute. Her music reminds me of a little girl who still keeps her innocent and happy perspective of the world and carries it into adulthood. Playing her music in the afternoon would light up one’s dull remaining working day. Her second album, "feels like home" has more of country music touch to it. But after a while, you will get to appreciate her effort to try something different. Both are very soothing and home coming. ^_^

Although half of summer has passed already, it feels like it just started in Vancouver mostly because the weather was very gloomy for a good two months in the beginning. Besides the gorgeous outdoor, Vancouver has many events to offer every summer. One of the must see is Celebration of light.
It is an event that last four days around B.C. day long weekend. There are three countries competing for best firework performance on Wednesdays and Saturdays. I remember the first summer I was in Vancouver, my friends brought me to downtown Vancouver, down at the English Bay to see the event. It was the first time, I see the normally empty and quite city filled with people and laughter. Otherwise I can not believe Vancouver has a population of 100,000.
